Well, it's time to make the real Eagle Scout cake for four Scouts in Troop 196 getting their Eagle Award. I made the practice one back in November.
Homemade Rice Krispie treats.
Covered in homemade MMF, that my sister and I colored with food color gels.
He looks mighty mean
The rest of the cake will be baked and assembled later this week. I'll post updates as I go.
UPDATE: Level Two, Level Three, Day of Ceremony.

WOW...I'm speechless. You are amazing with cakes!
kaaren this cake is awesome and you inspired me to try and make one as well. my co-worker loves eagles and has a large collection and so i made the eagle cake topper for his 50th bday cake. thanks for sharing!
Kaaren, this is amazing. How did you make the feathers for the Eagle?
I took some leaf cutters (Wilton makes a product called "Leaf-Cut-Outs;" a 3-pack of leaf cutters) and used the large and small cutters to cut our brown and white fondant leaves. I used a knife to score and fray the leaves to look like feathers, then I started from the bottom and worked my way up. The small leaves were used to fill in around the eyes and beak.
Thanks for your response Karen, It is super cool! How did they like it? I can imagine they were thrilled!
